Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNO): The government and private schools in Kashmir valley Thursday celebrated ‘Children’s Day’ with enjoyable activities. Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the teachers and students exemplify Children's Day as a day of ‘pleasurable and wisdom day.’ One of the government school teachers, Sabreena Ara said, “In previous years, the concept of celebrating Children’s Day was a futile exercise. However, nowadays, the mindset has changed drastically. On this day students that are always busy in studying and reading get involved in play-way quizzes and speeches.” She said that celebrating the ‘Children’s Day’ with joyful activities not only makes the students happy but boosts their confidence. “The joyful activities not only boost the confidence of students but it also helps to catch and maintain their streaks in studies,” Sabreena said. Another private school teacher, Sumaira said that on Children's Day the school management usually involves the students in joyful activities and name it a blissful and wisdom day She said, “We usually organize special joyful events and activities to celebrate their childhood by engaging them in games, quiz and speech contests.” In the meantime, one of the standard students, Osman Ahmad said, “From past couple of years, Children's Day has become very special for the students.” “Students enjoy the day with playful activities. I think it is very important for the students to have a break from the routine school schedule because the special treatment from the teachers makes our bond with the teachers and the school even stronger,” he said.—(KNO)
